So we see these different types of people everywhere. The American cliché of sitting on different tables for lunch in school is the best example of this. ( I’ve seen this in their movies. But since the shoe fits, I’m gonna roll with it. Lol. 😄 )
So, I see these people and I find it difficult to be a part of just one table you know?!
Why can’t someone score well in their tests, and booze, dance, go out, sing and stay in, have deep conversations, make amazing friends and prank call or drunk call someone ?
Go totally crazy and manage their responsibilities at the same point?
These so called social groups restrict growth and worse they restrict freedom. Not all of them. But some might. They do.
You shouldn’t be defined only by the fact that you are one member of that popular hippe group, or that on topper from the geek squad or that one gossip monger in the aunty gang which knows everything about everyone else’s lives just because they have nothing in their own lives.
You can be so much more.
So I guess my point of this post is, if you are feeling held back, in any part of your life, because of some peers or some person, stop and think.
” Is that person restricting my freedom or growth in anyway?
Also, Is that activity worth starting a spat with someone?”
You weren’t born to fit in love, but you should try to stand out. In the best of ways possible of course.
Believe that you have so much life, time and experiences ahead of you, and that you will find your kinda people, only if you let go of the ones that aren’t.
And finally, I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS MEREDITH GREY QUOTE THAT I HAD TO GO ALL OUT AND WRITE IN UPPER CASE. LOL.
Boundaries don’t keep other people out, they fence you in.
So you can waste your life drawing lines, or you can live your life crossing them.
Stop. Reconsider. And you aren’t happy, go and change it.
Lots of love,
Brown girl on a budget 🙂
