Why is it necessary to focus on your own grass..

We’ve all heard the saying, “the grass is always greener on the other side.”

The human mind tends to focus on things which others have and not on the things which we already have.

Like any 20 something year old girl, I used to get very much affected by the outer appearance of someone else’s life because come on who thinks of inner beauty at this stage?! It’s harsh but its true. And I totally agree that this is somewhat unfortunate.

But I still do. Get affected.

But yeahhhh so back to the topic, I tend to rant so much about this 3rd person it really consumes a lot of my thoughts and energy.

So I write this post today, not only for sharing with you what i learnt through my experiences but also to confess and conclude to stop focusing on someone else’s grass, once and for all.

Let’s focus on becoming the best versions of ourselves and keep in mind this little quote-

” If we all saw our problems in a pile, we’d quitely take back our own.”

This is one of my shortest posts but also one of my most important ones.

Please do let me know your thoughts.

Lots of love,

Brown girl on a budget 🙂

  1. Jake says:

Who cares if the neighbors’ grass looks nice? I bet they don’t enjoy it. They surely don’t walk the dog or play catch on it. I bet there’s even a sign that says “KEEP OFF!”

Besides, it’s grass. It doesn’t really matter what it looks like. It lives and dies, just like yours.

But you know this already, so you have a leg up over those snooty busy bodies. You know how to enjoy your grass, and I bet they’re looking out at you from their living room windows right now, envious.
