Who is the happiest person here?

Happiness is the most subjective thing in my opinion.

Someone in a Mercedes drawing a 6 figure salary can be deeply dissatisfied and unhappy while a street hawker with 3 daughters living in a 1 bedroom flat can be content and happy with life.

These things, money and job, relationships, are all the things which can lead to happiness but none of them can guarantee it.

Just some food for thought.

The point of this article is to make you realize the importance of concentrating on the smaller things.

Your child’s school recital, your spouse’s dental extraction appointment, times when your mum is sick or when dad needs you to teach him to download whatsapp. Be there for them.

These are the instances which make memories. For life. You can’t escape these things thinking that you are done because you provide food, tuition fees or whatever your people need to survive. You shouldn’t.

Get involved with people. Build strong, healthy and loving relationships. And that is when you will feel content. And happy. For most of the time anyway.

Think over it once.

Lots of love,

Brown girl on a budget 🙂
